nothing like an old face to see
just with a different name
looked forward to it
treading lightly

its a promise to oneself
never to fall in that again
and its kept

sometimes it boggles my brain
deciphering the meanings and all
then again, i realised
it matters no more
taking things the superficial way seem the best
no reading between the lines
no second guessing
felt more natural and comfortable

things turned out better than expected
and yea, we'll leave it just like that
nothing more, nothing less

maybe what Aristotle said may be only half true
devotion of time doesn't mean much
so what if there's length but no depth?
